Hanjin Shipping and Receivership Update #7
To Our Valued Customers:
Regarding the situation with Hanjin Shipping, we are sharing in our seventh update what we are learning from various sources where all the Hanjin vessels are, and what their status is.
Where are all the ships?: You will see from the below outline that despite Hanjin attempts to keep ships moving and unloading, most of the vessels are still stuck somewhere as terminals and canals continue to refuse to allow Hanjin vessels to berth or pass through – mostly due to a lack of funds to pay for the required services (terminal charges, berthing fees, harbor captain fees, refueling, restocking provisions for the crew, etc). While it is difficult to ascertain what the status of each of the ships is, Hanjin just this week started broadcasting updates – and the below is one such update.
Our priority as we navigate this unprecedented situation, is to keep your cargo flowing as quickly and as seamlessly as possible, given the current conditions – and to communicate effectively along the way. We will get through this together.
Thanks for all your support.
